Pick 6 carryover of $12K on Saturday at Aqueduct Racetrack
Saturday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $12,100 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday’s eight-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $2,016.74 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Friday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 3 with an open company win from the New York-bred Factually Correct [No. 1, $12.16] in a six-furlong claimer with Ruben Silvera aboard for trainer Fernando Abreu.
Trainer Horacio De Paz sent out the next winner as Ricardo Santana, Jr. scored a riding double aboard Sounds Like a Plan [No. 6, $11.18] over dual Grade 1-winner Spirit of St Louis in a 1 1/16-mile allowance optional claimer, featuring state-breds on the outer turf, in Race 4. The next race saw Jaime Rodriguez and In the Dark [No. 4, $12.26] win a one-mile maiden claimer on the inner turf for trainer Bill Morey, in Race 5.
In Race 6, Silvera visited the winner’s circle for the second time aboard Our Preferred Pal [No. 6, $14.58] in a seven-furlong state-bred maiden for trainer Chris Englehart. In Race 7, a six-furlong allowance on the outer turf, the Mike Maker-conditioned Flat to Da Mat [No. 7, $21.08] proved best with Santana, Jr. in the saddle for his third victory of the day.
With only Raynham Hall covered in the Race 8 finale, a 1 1/16-mile state-bred maiden claimer on the inner turf, Kendrick Carmouche navigated On a Summer Day [No. 2, $12.62] to victory for trainer John Pregman, Jr., triggering the carryover.
Saturday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 5 at approximately 3:13 p.m. Eastern. First post for the 10-race card, which features the $150,000 Woodhaven in Race 4, is 1:10 p.m.
