Pick 6 carryover of $19K on Saturday at Aqueduct Racetrack
Saturday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $19,017 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday’s eight-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $2,113.01 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Thursday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 3 with a 22-1 upset from Timaeus [No. 3, $46.40] in a six-furlong starter allowance with Silvestre Gonzalez aboard for trainer Ilkay Kantarmaci – the jockey/trainer pair also captured the opener with Bourbon Serengeti.
Hall of Fame-trainer Bill Mott sent out the next winner as the Jose Lezcano-piloted 15-1 longshot Double Act [No. 7, $32.56] captured a one-mile turf maiden, in Race 4. The next race saw trainer Wesley Ward send out Dangherecomesshang [No. 6, $11.54] to win a six-furlong turf allowance with Jaime Rodriguez up, over 2-5 favored stablemate Di Natale, in Race 5.
In Race 6, a nine-furlong state-bred allowance, Jorge Vargas, Jr. visited the winner’s circle aboard Ez Roll [No. 1, $16.12] for trainer Ray Handal. In Race 7, the Listed $150,000 Plenty of Grace going one-mile on turf, the Hall of Famer Javier Castellano-ridden And One More Time [No. 7, $4.28*] wired the field for dual Hall of Famer Mark Casse.
With the carryover already guaranteed before the Race 8 finale, a six-furlong turf maiden for New York-breds, Dylan Davis navigated Moonlight Drive [No. 10, $14.92] to score for trainer Jorge Abreu.
Saturday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 4, the Listed $150,000 Bay Shore, at approximately 2:44 p.m. Eastern. First post for the nine-race card is 1:10 p.m.
