Pick 6 carryover of $92K on Friday at Saratoga Race Course

Friday’s card at Saratoga Race Course will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $92,729 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday’s 10-race card.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $1,931.87 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Thursday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 5 with Seaside Startup [No. 1, $14.96] capturing a six-furlong maiden claimer under jockey Ricardo Santana, Jr. for five-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown. In Race 6, a 5 1/2-furlong allowance on the Mellon turf, jockey Flavien Prat earned a riding double by navigating the New York-bred Annascaul [No. 6, $5.36*] to victory in open company for conditioner Miguel Clement.

Charlottesuniverse [No. 11, $12.78] earned a victory in a state-bred 1 1/8-mile allowance on the inner turf in Race 7 for Hall of Fame connections in trainer Mark Casse and jockey Javier Castellano, who earned his second win on the card. In Race 8, a 6 1/2-furlong maiden special weight, Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez visited the winner’s circle atop the Rick Dutrow, Jr.-trained Bogus Operandi [No. 7, $11.70].

In Race 9, the Listed $200,000 Bernard Baruch presented by Snap-On, the Norm Casse-conditioned Kupuna [No. 2, $26.22] prevailed gate-to-wire under Santana, Jr., who completed a riding double on the card. 

With only 4-of-12 horses covered in the Race 10 finale, a 1 1/16-mile state-bred maiden claimer on the inner turf, Foto [No. 11, $48.96] proved best with Katie Davis up for trainer David Duggan, triggering the carryover.

Friday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 6 at approximately 4:03 p.m. Eastern. First post is 1:10 p.m. for the 11-race card which features the Listed $200,000 P.G. Johnson [Race 4] and the $200,000 Seeking The Ante [Race 7].
