Live racing canceled Wednesday at Saratoga Race Course due to torrential rain
Wednesday’s live racing program at Saratoga Race Course has been canceled due to torrential rain impacting Saratoga Springs and the Capital Region.
Saratoga Race Course received more than four inches of rain overnight with two or more inches expected on Wednesday. The National Weather Service has placed the Capital Region under a flood watch through 9 p.m. Eastern.
Wednesday’s featured Listed $150,000 Curlin presented by Casamigos will be brought back on Sunday with entries to be taken today.
Saratoga Race Course will be closed to the public on Wednesday. All ticketholders will be contacted by the NYRA Box Office for additional information on refunds or exchanges. The NYRA box office can be reached via email at boxoffice@nyrainc.com. In addition, Aqueduct Racetrack will also be closed for simulcasting on Wednesday.
Live racing is slated to resume on Thursday at Saratoga with a nine-race program. First post is 1:10 p.m. Eastern.
