SUSIE RAISHER / NYRA

Horse Profile: Hill Road

Hill Road began his career racing on the turf in Ireland, but has found his stride on the dirt since moving to the Chad Brown barn. In his most recent start, the Quality Road bay closed to win the nine-furlong Grade 3 Peter Pan, the traditional local prep for the Belmont Stakes.

The Peter Pan was Hill Road’s second start for Brown following a barn debut third when adding blinkers in the Grade 3 Tampa Bay Derby in March. He made his first three starts for trainer Adrian Murray, capped with a third in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile in November at Del Mar after his pair of turf outings overseas.
