Pick 6 carryover of $20K on Thursday at Aqueduct Racetrack

Christian Abdo Feb 23 2025

Thursday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $20,328 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Sunday’s 10-race program.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $180 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Sunday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 5 with the favored Tracking Error [No. 5, $3.90*] taking a nine-furlong maiden with Manny Franco aboard for five-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown.

Jose Lezcano was aboard the next winner with the meet leader Linda Rice-conditioned Tipple [No. 3, $7.70] capturing a one-mile optional claimer, in Race 6. One race later, the favored King Phoenix [No. 7, $3.90*] dominated a six-furlong state-bred maiden claimer with Katie Davis up for trainer Rick Dutrow, Jr., in Race 7.

In Race 8, Omar Hernandez Moreno piloted longshot Centavo [No. 3, $42.60] to victory in a 6 1/2-furlong claimer for conditioner Naipaul Chatterpaul. In Race 9, the seven-furlong New York-bred $125,000 Broadway, Landed [No. 3, $7.80] wired the field with Frankie Pennington up for trainer Wesley Ward.

With just 1-of-9 horses covered heading into the Race 10 finale, a 6 1/2-furlong maiden claimer, the Michelle Nevin-trained Maxaluna [No. 6, $16.80] notched Franco his fourth win on the day, triggering the carryover.

Thursday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 3 at approximately 2:08 p.m. Eastern. First post for the eight-race card is 1:10 p.m.
